The implementation of the European cooperation project SynAmp – Synergy Amplified: Innovating the Classical Music Ecosystem has officially begun on March 3, 2026, with an online meeting gathering all project partners. This 34-month project is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union under the call CREA-CULT-2025-COOP-2.
SynAmp builds on the experience and results of the previous #synergy project (2021–2024), while significantly expanding its scope through the integration of multimedia art, a structured capacity-building programme and a broader international touring programme. It aims to strengthen the classical music ecosystem by supporting emerging artists and cultural professionals, enhancing transnational collaboration, and introducing innovative and sustainable production models.
This project brings together eight partner organisations from Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Sweden, Hungary, Serbia, Kosovo and Albania, forming a strong transnational alliance committed to strengthening and innovating the classical music ecosystem. It is coordinated by DBS Foundation (Montenegro) and implemented in partnership with Croatian Composers’ Society (Croatia), Le Dimore del Quartetto (Italy), Stiftelsen O/Modernt (Sweden), UMZE Association (Hungary), Kolarac Endowment (Serbia), Kosovo Chopin Association (Kosovo), and Qendra PIT (Albania), while the associated partner is Art Lab (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Over the next three years, eight creative duos of composers and multimedia artists will develop eight newly commissioned multimedia works through mentorship and international residencies. Sixteen emerging cultural professionals will take part in structured training cycles, while up to forty emerging performers will be engaged through an international open call and collaborative production process. The project will culminate with the SynAmp Tour, featuring fifteen concerts across eight European cities, accompanied by networking activities and professional recordings to ensure long-term visibility and impact.
During the online meeting, partners confirmed the work plan, timeline, management structure, communication strategy and initial operational steps. This kick-off meeting marked not only the administrative launch of the project, but also the beginning of an ambitious collaborative journey and a shared European effort to connect creators and cultural professionals, foster innovation in classical music, and build sustainable cross-border partnerships.
