Stiftelsen O/Modernt is a Stockholm-based artistic platform founded and led by violinist Hugo Ticciati. The world of O/Modernt is built around the acclaimed O/Modernt Chamber Orchestra and a flexible family of international artists, creating adventurous programmes that place early music, folk traditions, improvisation, contemporary sound worlds, and popular culture in dynamic dialogue. New music is central to O/Modernt's identity: the organisation has commissioned more than fifty works from emerging and internationally celebrated composers, including Steve Reich and Pēteris Vasks. In SynAmp, O/Modernt hosts Montage Week at Medevi Brunn and makes all commissioned works available through its New Music digital platform.
